Eddie Lewis gave
free advice to trumpet players for fourteen years. Unfortunately, the tremendous
volume of questions he receives has become far greater than what he can
keep up with. We regret to announce that free advice will no longer be
made available in this way.
If you have a trumpet
problem or question for Mr. Lewis, feel free to sign up for "Internet Lessons".
The
Lessons
Our Online Lessons are different from
what you might think. We don't see any point in trying to imitate
traditional lessons because doing so only limits the strengths of the
internet and produces something far inferior to traditional lessons.
Instead, we use a system of chat sessions and email (with attachments)
exchanges to get the most out of what the technology has to offer in this
way.
We begin with a chat session to decide
on what action must be taken first. By the end of the session, Mr. Lewis
will give an assignment and let you know when it is due and how it is to
be delivered (usually as an email attachment).
Rates
The
rate for these online lessons is the same as his standard rate teaching at
home. However, the way the rates are charged is different. The students
will pay, via PayPal, $120 as a non-refundable deposit. When Mr. Lewis
spends time responding to emails, preparing materials or chatting, the fee
for those services will be deducted from your deposit. You will be
constantly notified of your account's standing during this process.
When
the deposit amount reaches $20 or less, you will be given the opportunity
to continue with lessons, which will require another $100 deposit, or to
quit. Remember that the deposits are non-refundable.
Contract
All
internet students are required to sign a contract which clarifies they
understand the terms of the agreement.
