Good Standing

It's important for all of Eddie Lewis' students to stay in good standing. Not only does this make the lessons more productive, but it also locks in your "base rate" and makes you eligible for various discounts.

More Productive Lessons

The rules for good standing are for your benefit as a music student, and the incentives are only a means to that end. These rules are based on the successes of past students.

Locking In a Base Rate

Eddie Lewis has regularly scheduled base rate increases which only apply to new students. Staying in good standing locks your lesson base rate in at the rate from when you first signed up for lessons. If you fall out of good standing, your lesson base rate will be changed to the current lesson base rate.

Eligibility for Discounts

Staying in good standing also makes you eligible for lesson discounts as described on the Lesson Rates page. Falling out of good standing will put you on discount suspension for one month.

Eligibility Rules:

1) Absence without communication is an automatic loss of your good standing status. If you forget about a lesson, you will have 24 hours to respond to our follow up call.

2) Stay current with payments. We expect payments to be made in advance. If you forget to bring payment to the lesson, you will have a one week grace period, after which you will be expected to pay for at least the previous and current week's lessons. Failure to do so will result in falling out of good standing status.

(The "weekly commitment" discount requires students to pay for four lessons in advance.)

3) Be respectful to everyone involved with the lessons, this includes your parents, your band director, our administrator (Mrs. Lewis) and Mr. Lewis. An initial show of disrespect will get a warning. The second will cause you to be dropped from good standing.

4) Do your lesson assignments within a reasonable amount of time. Students who go a full month without practicing their assignments will get a warning. Students who do not complete assignments for another two weeks after the warning be dropped from good standing status.
